The episode starts with Jessie reading Modern NANNY when the ground starts to shake. She runs inside and turns a round to see a giant Mr Kipling! The door opens and a giant tongue wraps around Jessie.She screams and wakes up. Phew! Just a dream! Then she sees Kipling in her bed and screams again. Title song sung by Deb.
   Later Emma tells Jessie her new photography partner, Luke.
Jessie suggests they go to the park, so Emma and Luke can work on their assignment and Ravi can take Mr Kipling for a walk or a slither or whatever he does.
No can do. The head of the Condo Board Mrs Chesterfield wouldn't like that.
Luckily their friend Tony the Doorman will tell them when the coast is clear.
    In the end Ravi is glad they went. Ever noticed how his "happy" face and his "I'm gonna eat you!" face are really similar? Luke is looking through the camera lense at Bertram shaving his own back when a giant bird blocks his view. This bird happens to be a Hudson Benny Hawk.
 Zuri calls Jessie to come quickly because a mean girl, Genvieve, hit her. She must be an imaginary enemy,LOL.
   When they get back Tony tells them the coast is clear just as Mrs Chesterfield comes in and sees Mr Kipling! Uh Oh, Mrs C takes the wrong lead. Now Kip is banned from the building.
        Back in their apartment, Zuri tells Jessie that Genvieve has followed them home from the park. Jessie tells her to kill Genvieve with kindness.  Just like she will with Mrs Chesterfield! But when she takes her some cookies, Mrs C bites into a pecan shell. She slams the door and goes to call Animal Control. Jessie and Ravi
get Mr K out of the building by hiding him in a cart of toys but he crawls away.
CHASE TIME!!!!!
     He goes through an air vent and ends up on Mrs C's terrace. He's about to get Zeus, her dog, when the hawk flys at it. Just as it's getting close Kipling slaps it with his tail. So happy that her dog is safe, Mrs Chesterfield lets Mr Kipling stay.
       
Zuri is hiding back in the apartment and Jessie makes her come out by telling her Kipling ate Genvieve. Then Emma tells her Luke's picture made the front cover of the school newspaper!

Episode 1:New York New Nanny

In this episode Texan girl Jessie moves to New York to get a job and follow her dreams and ends up being a nanny to 4 out-of-control kids. At the start of the episode she is telling her story to the cab driver when she finds that her purse has been stolen! The taxi driver kicks her out in front of the doors of a hotel where she first meets the doorman Tony and Zuri Ross, one the kids she babysits. Next you see woman running out of the door. It turns out this was Zuri's old nanny. Zuri then asks Jessie if she wants to nanny her. She turns her down but Zuri still drags her in. You see Zuri pull Jessie into a big glamorous apartment and a man cleaning the piano with a feather duster. This is their butler Bertram. He tells her to wait until the parents are home. Then 3 kids run in fighting and hitting each other. Zuri explains that these are her siblings. Jessie goes over and tries to stop them and a dark haired freckled boy(Luke) looks at her in a flirty way.Next the elevator arrives with Morgan and Christina Ross kissing. The kids run up and hug them. Then Morgan shows them a present from George Lucas, a lightsaber! Meanwhile Emma and Christina are talking about Emma's Science Fair the next day. Then you see her interviewing Jessie: she hires her! Jessie tells the kids she wants them all to eat together. She knocks on Zuri's door and she tells her she is have dinner with her imaginary friend Milly the Mermaid. She knocks on Ravi's door and is about to open it when Luke stops her. He tells Jessie not to. She does anyway only to be greeted by a giant 6 foot lizard called Mr Kipling! They all eventually get bored and leave. Next Bertram hands her a note saying that they have run away! She runs down to the lobby and Tony tells her they are on the roof in their dad's helicopter. It turns out they really went up in the air! Next Jessie goes into Ravi's room with some food for Mr Kipling and sees that Ravi is having trouble with a video game so she helps him with the level. She gives the controller back to him and goes to feed Mr Kipling but gets locked in his cage. She calls for Ravi to open it but he is wearing headphones so he can't hear her. She tries to run away but Mr Kipling is following her. Eventually she slides out and slams the door shut behind her. Her clothes have been ripped and shredded. Then she goes into the living room where Emma is working on her project when she gets a video chat request from her parents. They explain to Emma that they can't come to her Science Fair. She says she's fine but really she's upset. She runs up stairs and Jessie offers to help her finish her project but trips over and breaks it! Zuri sees and tells her to say Luke did it. After the kids go to school Jessie says that she needs to get to Morgan's studio quickly, so Tony suggests their helicopter and gives her the keys. She arrives at the set to be shooed into a costume closet by a set director. She sees the extras' costumes and puts one on then she is pushed on stage and told to lie down. Suddenly she is grabbed by a giant squid tentacle! She fights it off and runs over to Morgan and Christina and tells them that they need to pay attention to their kids. They fire her! Jessie arrived at Emma's Science Fair just in time, she's next! Just as she's about to start her parents arrive! She and a boy called Preston are in the Top Two! Just as the Judge is about to annouce the winner Pluto falls off! The Judges talk for a moment then say Emma has won because Pluto isn't a planet anymore! Morgan and Christina thank Jessie for telling them the truth. Back at their apartment they all eat ice cream and Mr Kipling gets grounded!
